"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." - Our Founding Fathers. Seems clear enough to me.
But do you know what the Indiana Constitution says about our defense?
"Article 1. Section 32. The people shall have a right to bear arms, for the defense of themselves and the State."
Enough said.
I am a Christian and a father. I served in the military because I believe we are called upon to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Who could possibly be in more need of defense?
Taking care of my brothers and sisters that serve or have served our country is near and dear to my heart. Promoting programs designed to educate, train, employ, and support our military through all stages of their careers is not only good for the veteran and their family, it is good for our nation
I grew up in rural Indiana and know the importance of our farms and farm families. Food is a National Security Asset. I believe in doing everything possible to ensure the success and stability of our farms and ensure our precious farm land is never owned by a hostile foreign government.
The illicit drug trade and human trafficking crisis at our southern border affects our entire nation, including Indiana. We must work with law enforcement and industries drawn into this national crisis. Fentanyl and the trafficking of humans has unfortunately found its way into our nation. This is NOT acceptable. We deserve better.
The Chinese Communist Party -- The CCP -- has infiltrated every aspect of our lives. They are an active adversary of the United States and we have the capability at the State level of limiting ANY if not ALL ownership of real property in the great state of Indiana. I plan on introducing a bill in the next session to accomplish this.
